Dedicated & Experienced Staff

Meet our exceptional team! Every staff member is highly qualified with years of experience. Our dedicated K-4 teacher with a degree in Early Childhood and a decade of service. With minimal turnover, we provide a stable environment. Our teachers receive continuous training in Growth and Development, Curriculum, CPR, First Aid, and Blood-borne Pathogens. Your child's well-being is our top priority.

Center Operation

  • 1 Convenient Hours: Our center operates from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. To ensure a seamless experience, please collect your child by 5:30 PM. In the event of a late pickup, the parent will be responsible for compensating the staff member attending your child.
  • 2 Holiday Schedule: Refer to the back of this brochure for our holiday schedule. Note that holiday closures may vary based on the specific day of the holiday.
  • 3 Weather Updates: Tune in to WSPA-TV and our website for updates on delayed openings or closures during inclement weather. Familiarize yourself with our emergency and evacuation procedures, found at the end of this booklet.
  • 4 Nutritious Meals: We provide breakfast at 8:00 AM, followed by a hot lunch and afternoon snack, adhering to our commitment to your child's well-being.

Arrival & Departure

  • 1 Accompanied Entry/Exit: As per state law, please accompany your child on and off of our premises.
  • 2 Secure Sign-In/Out: Our code word system ensures emergency release adherence. If someone other than yourself is picking up, advance notification, a valid ID, and the code word are essential.
  • 3 Absence Notification: Notify us of any absence, especially if your child is designated for school pickup. This helps us maintain accurate records for school pickup routes.
  • 4 Personal Items: Please ensure all your child's belongings and medications are taken home daily.

Clothing & Belongings

  • 1 Label Belongings: Label all your child's belongings with their name to avoid mix-ups.
  • 2 Daily Change of Clothes: Provide a fresh set of clothes, including socks and underwear, daily. This ensures your child's comfort and dryness. We'll promptly inform you if any items are missing.
  • 3 Personal Items Responsibility: While we cherish personal items, we're not responsible for any disturbances they may cause. Items causing disruption will be held until pickup.

Health & Medication

  • 1 Illness Policy: To ensure the well-being of all children, those with contagious symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, or a temperature above 100 °F cannot attend the center. Should such symptoms arise during the day, we'll promptly contact you for your child's safety and potential medical attention.
  • 2 Return Guidelines: After experiencing these symptoms, your child must be symptom-free for 24 hours without medication before rejoining. A physician's note is essential after a contagious illness.
  • 3 Immunization Records: Keep your child's immunization records current. Verification is required at enrollment.
  • 4 Medication Guidelines: Medication can only be administered with your written instructions in the original labeled containers. Medications are stored securely and given by designated staff according to center policy and state laws. Please remember to take your medicines home daily.

Meals & Nutrition

  • 1 Balanced Meals: Our center provides a nutritious breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snacks each day. We participate in the CACFP food program together with FDA guidelines.
  • 2 Packed Lunch: If your child brings lunch, opt for nourishing foods that sustain their energy. All containers must be labeled with the child's name and date.
  • 3 Infant & Toddler Care: For parents of infants and toddlers, we adhere to state guidelines and ask you to provide prepared and labeled formula bottles. We prioritize safe bottle-warming methods.
  • 4 Hygiene and Cleanliness: Plastic containers and bottles are required for all food items. Please take them home daily for cleaning.

Discipline

  • 1 Positive Approach: We embrace positive reinforcement and redirection as our discipline philosophy. No corporal punishment is used.
  • 2 Parent Communication: Parental preferences regarding discipline are noted during enrollment, signed, and regularly reviewed in accordance with state regulations.
  • 3 Collaborative Resolution: In cases of persistent disruptive behavior, we collaborate with parents to address concerns and find solutions. We reserve the right to dismiss a child or family if their behavior affects the center's overall environment.

Parent Referral Program

Benefit from your satisfaction! When a referred child remains with us for 1 month, you'll receive a $50.00 credit to your account through our parent referral program. Feel free to utilize this program frequently to reduce your tuition costs.

Open Communication & Peace of Mind

At Bo Peep Child Care, Inc., we value open dialog and your peace of mind:

  • Conferences and Questions: Our Director and staff welcome conferences and questions concerning your child's well-being and our center's operations.
  • Open Door Policy: Visit our center at any time. Our "open door policy" ensures you're welcome whenever you'd like.
  • Immediate Contact: Don't hesitate to contact our director via phone for prompt resolution of any concerns, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding.

Evacuation Plan

At Bo Peep Child Care, we prioritize your child's safety through a well-structured evacuation plan:

  • 1 Emergency Signal: The director or designated agent will use the "Code Blue" signal to alert all teachers about the immediate need for evacuation.
  • 2 Teacher Responsibility: Teachers will calmly gather their assigned children, perform a roll call, and exit the building following the fire evacuation plan.
  • 3 Accountability: Upon reaching the designated assembly point at the rear of the playground, teachers will conduct another roll call to ensure all children are present.
  • 4 Safe Destination: In case of evacuation, we will arrange for transportation to a secure location.
  • 5 Swift Action: The director will contact the owner to coordinate transportation for all children and staff, prioritizing infants and toddlers.
  • 6 Prepared Staff: Staff will be well-versed in this procedure through orientation and regular drills to reinforce preparedness.

Emergency Medical Plan

In the unlikely event of an injury, we are committed to swift and appropriate action:

  • 1 Prompt Attention: If a child sustains an injury, the supervising teacher will immediately involve the director or designated agent.
  • 2 Assessment Guidelines: The director or agent will evaluate the severity of the situation based on clear criteria, such as bleeding, potential broken bones, seizures, confusion, severe pain, or signs of severe allergic reactions.
  • 3 Parent Communication: Parents will be contacted immediately, and if necessary, the child will be transported to the nearest urgent care facility using our facility's equipped vehicles.
  • 4 Supportive Care: Our staff will stay with the child, ensuring they are attended to until a parent or emergency contact arrives. An emergency backup person will be contacted if required.
  • 5 Parent Briefing: The individual accompanying the child will remain with them until a parent or emergency contact arrives. Our agent will ensure the contact is briefed on the situation.
